Shipping & Return Policy
Below you will find answers to common questions about shipping, delivery, returns, and other important store policies. If you need clarification on anything not covered here, our team is always happy to help.
Free Shipping
Free shipping is available on most orders over $99.99 shipped to BC, AB, SK, MB, ON, and QC. Other provinces and territories will have a Flat Rate fee apply - please see below.
We wish we had better shipping options in Canada. We work hard to keep our prices authentic and the cost of shipping real. We do not work with Third Party Sellers and re-use as much packaging material as possible. We hope you will consider it fun and appreciate our efforts if your purchase arrives in something unusual like a ski boot box!
Free shipping may not apply to:
- Heavy items (like marble and cast iron) and items that require large voluminous boxes for protection
- Rural or remote locations
- PO Boxes
If shipping costs are higher than expected, we’ll contact you to discuss options. You may choose to pay the additional shipping costs or cancel your order.
Flat-Rate Shipping
For orders between $25 and $99, the following flat rates apply:
- BC & AB: $10
- SK, MB, ON, QC: $15
- NL, NB, PEI: $20
- NU, NWT, YT: $25
Orders under $25 are charged full shipping rates. If shipping is overestimated, we’ll refund the difference.
Shipping costs are based on package size, weight, destination, and delivery method. Prices shown online do not include taxes or shipping.
Carriers & Delivery
We ship using FedEx, Purolator, UPS, Canpar, and Canada Post, and we will choose the most economical option unless otherwise requested. We do not offer refunds for delayed parcels.
Small items may ship via Canada Post letter mail with stamps only with customer approval. Please note however that this option does not include tracking, and we will not replace items lost through untracked mail.
International Shipping
As of 2026, we do not ship internationally.
Processing & Shipping Times
Orders are processed Monday–Saturday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM PST and usually ship within 1–2 business days. During peak seasons, processing times may be longer. We recommend ordering early around holidays.
Delivery times are managed by the carrier and cannot be guaranteed once your order leaves our store. Refunds will not be given due to delivery delays.
Address Information
Please ensure your shipping and contact information is correct at checkout. A full street address, postal code, and phone number are required.
PO Boxes are accepted but may attract additional shipping charges due to the higher costs charged by Canada Post. Customers are responsible for delays, losses, or extra fees caused by incorrect or incomplete addresses and phone numbers.
Damaged or Missing Orders
If your order arrives damaged, take photos of the item and all packaging and email us within 24 hours at info@bearcountrykitchen.ca. Without pictures of the inner and outer packaging, claims may be denied.
Replacements are not automatically shipped and will depend on availability. Once an order is marked as delivered by the courier, we cannot be responsible for missing items. Please choose a secure delivery location.
Returns & Exchanges
- Returns will be accepted within 30 days of purchase
- Items must be unused and in original packaging with all accessories
- Customers are responsible for return shipping costs
- Original shipping fees are non-refundable
- Refunds are processed within 1–2 business days after inspection
- Exchanges are accepted within 30 days; however return and replacement shipping costs will apply and be the responsibility of the customer.
Final Sale Items:
Food items, books, gift baskets, sale or clearance items, and seasonal items after December 1st are Final Sale.
Gift Cards & Payment Options
Gift cards and e-gift certificates cannot be redeemed for cash and cannot be replaced if lost or stolen.
